Headline Expenditure Projections
Computer H ardware S ales: USD12.4bn in 2014 to USD9.6bn in 2015, -22.4% in US dollar terms. A combination of rouble depreciation, tighter credit market conditions (meaning a drag on big-ticket purchases) and fact consumers moved demand forward to 2014 ahead of anticipated price rises will make computer spending growth the underperforming market segment in 2015.
AV Sales: USD9.4bn in 2014 to USD8.1bn in 2015, -13.1% in US dollar terms. Forecast unchanged in Q2, with unfavourable economic conditions expected to add to the squeeze on TV set sales from saturation.
