Volume sales of smartphones increased by 29% in 2013 following the 38% volume growth recorded in the category during 2012 and this strong positive trend helped to counteract the declines recorded in feature phones, a category of increasingly outdated products which declined in volume by 24% in 2012 and by 26% in 2013.
