In 2012 the gardening category in Italy decreased by 1% in 2012 to reach EUR3,954 million. The category's performance is also linked to the weather conditions in the country, which were quite bad at the beginning of the year but which then recovered in May and June. On the other hand, there was a drought in the summer, which also negatively impacted the performance of the gardening category.
